Zeitgeist Theatre

What's On

World at One

in association with Kings Head Theatre

King’s Head Theatre
115, Upper Street N1
@ 1pm & 9.30pm (Sat only) Wednesday - Sunday

Stage

This is a regular, unique run of topical, new writing. Every two months, we give London’s best emerging talent, eight weeks to write, rehearse and stage three short plays a topical theme.

This is more than a play reading, but less than full production. The emphasis is on engaging pieces that might be raw and unpolished, but are interesting, tackling stories in the news and issues everybody’s talking about. Zeitgeist does not work with newcomers but those already making a name for themselves as ones to watch.

Previous themes include; gun-crime, immigration, facebook and credit crunch.

The State We're In

by Zia Trench

After a sell-out reading starring Sam West, Raquel Cassidy, Rea Jones and Liana Weafer at West End's Trafalgar Studios, this full-length play seeks full production. Based on the peace campaigner, Brian Haw, it questions what it takes to live on a pavement outside Parliament for 8 years and what he has foregone to become the international face of protest.
